Meet the Sanchez Taekwondo National & Junior Olympic Team

Ten athletes
from Sanchez Taekwondo have spent countless hours in preparation for
Junior Olympics and Nationals to be held July 10 through July 15 in San
Jose, California. More about the team and how their performance is listed below.

Master Javier
Sanchez
The 2007 Nationals team is lead by Master Javier Sanchez. Not only will
he be coaching the other members of the team, but will also be competing
after qualifying at the Kansas City Regional Qualifier. He will be
competing at Nationals on Wednesday, July 11.
Instructor
Andy Ramirez
Instructor Andy Ramirez is well known at the Sanchez Taekwondo Schools.
Andy will compete at Nationals on Tuesday, July 10.
Nicole
Wofford
Nicole Wofford has trained with Sanchez Taekwondo for the past few
months. She will be competing in Junior Olympics as a green belt a on
Thursday, July 12.

Jeremy Casey
Jeremy Casey recently earned his first degree black belt. Jeremy
qualified at the Dallas Regional Qualifier as a red belt. He will be
competing in the Junior Olympics on Sunday, July 15.
Forms: 4th out of 28 (no medal, but still impressive)
Sparring:

Myla Casey
Myla Casey also earned her first degree black belt in April 2007. Myla
qualified at the Dallas Regional Qualifier as a red belt and will be
competing in Junior Olympics on Friday, July 13.

Silver
Levi Peterson
Levi Peterson is currently a Bo-Dan with hopes of earning his black belt
in the fall of 2007. He will be competing in Junior Olympics on
Thursday, July 12.
Kate Polley
Kate Polley began training regularly with Sanchez Taekwondo this year.
She recently earned her black belt and qualified at the Dallas
Qualifier. Kate will complete in Nationals on Wednesday, July 11.
Wesley Langston
Wesley Langston is a regular at the Southlake school, but has put in
numerous hours at both schools in preparation for Junior Olympics.
Wesley is a blue belt and will be competing on
Thursday, July 12.
Sparring:
Bronze
David Garcia
David Garcia earned his first degree black belt in April, 2007. He has
chosen to compete at Junior Olympics as a black belt. David will
complete on Friday, July 13.
